Dolores A. Symons

Dolores A. Symons (nee Krutch), 70, of Lorain, died Tuesday, April 28, 2015 at Kingston of Vermilion after a lengthy illness. She was born July 28, 1944 in Amherst, OH, and had been a life long Lorain resident before moving to Kingston of Vermilion. Dolores was a member of St. Peter Parish, Lorain. She was Elvis Presley's number one fan and enjoyed spending time with her dog Stella and her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is survived by her son, George Raymond (Susan) Gray, Jr. of Vermilion; daughters, Jacqueline Gray of Vermilion and Kimberly Symons-Hamilton of Raleigh, NC; 9 grandchildren; and 9 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ken Symons, parents, Richard F. and Mary Rose (nee Tropio) Krutch; sister, Carole Opalenik; grandson, Jonathan Gray, great grandson, Charlie Ray Pittsenbarger; and infant great-granddaughter, Aubrey Gray. The family will receive friends on Friday, May 1, 2015 from 4 pm until the time of a memorial service at 6 pm at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, OH. The Reverend Craig Hovanec will officiate. Private inurnment will take place at Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst.
