Donald J. Brill

Donald J. Brill, 37, of Vermilion, died Tuesday, October 21, 2003 as a result of an auto accident in Norwalk, Ohio. He was born June 7, 1966 in Amherst, Ohio, and has been a lifelong Brownhelm resident. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He worked as a heavy equipment operator for Americut Coring and Sawing Inc. of Vermilion the past 2 years. He had also worked for Herk Excavating in Vermilion for 12 years. and had worked for the Local Laborers Union at Four Seasons Garden Center. He graduated from Firelands High School in 1984. He enjoyed farming, baseball, and his children. Survivors include his wife of 3 years, Sharon Brill (nee Demyan); 2 sons, Alexander and Zachary Brill and step daughter, Brittany Goodwin, all at home; his mother, Linda L. Kelley of Brownhelm; sister, Katharine M. Brill of Brownhelm; 2 uncles; 2 aunts; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Preceding him in death were his father Alfred Warren Brill in 1998. Friends may call from 11 am - 2 pm Saturday, October 25, 2003 at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, Ohio. Following visitation a memorial service will be held at 2 p.m.. The Reverend Louis Bertoni will officiate. The Vermilion Veterans Council will conduct Military Services. Private interment will follow in Brownhelm Cemetery.
