Donald W. Felty

Donald W. Felty, 87, of Wakeman, died Friday, June 10, 2022 at Mill Manor Nursing Home after a lengthy illness. He was born September 13, 1934 in Greensburg, PA and had been a Wakeman resident for the past 22 years moving from Vermilion. Donald was a veteran of the Navy Reserves and worked as a supervisor for Ford Motor Co., Lorain, retiring after 30 years. He was a member of the Church of the Open Door and a former member of Lakeview Baptist Church where he was the choir director and worship leader. Donald enjoyed traveling, especially to the ocean, singing, and playing the trumpet. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Judith (nee Gillispie) Felty of Wakeman; sons, Mark Anthony Felty of South Amherst and Larry Felty of Wakeman; daughter,Cynthia (John) Cumbo of Sunbury, OH; grandchildren, Benjamin and Eli Cumbo; brothers, Danny (Sharon) Felty of OK and Marvin (Teresa) Felty of CO; and his sisters, Barbara (Mike) Maxwell of NC and Jane (Jerry) Hall of Lima, OH. He was preceded in death by his parents, Daniel and Beatrice (nee Neal) Felty; son, Donnie; and his daughter, Linda. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 14, 2022 from 12 Noon until the time of the service at 1:00 p.m. at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, Ohio.
