Doris Mae Fitzgerald

Doris Mae Fitzgerald (nee Edge), 91, of Beulah Beach, Vermilion, died Monday, May 30, 2011 at Kingston of Vermilion after a one year illness. Doris was born October 13, 1919 in Akron, and moved to Vermilion in 1959 from Swanton, OH. Mrs. Fitzgerald worked as a teacher's aide for the Betty Rinderle School in Sandusky. She was a member the Christian Missionary Alliance Church, Vermilion and the Vermilion Golden Agers. Her family and Beulah Beach were her life. She is survived by her 2 daughters, RaLue (Harm) Friend of Vermilion, and Roylene (David) Kenyon of Kent; son, Roy (Norma) Fitzgerald of Tucson, AZ; 7 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; sister, Faye (Moe) Pudoka of Akron; 3 brothers, Kenneth (Maxine) Edge of Boynton Beach, FL, Robert Edge of Copley and William (Lois) Edge of Akron. She was preceded in death by her parents, Earnest and Elsie (nee SirLouis) Edge and her husband, Reverend Wilbur D. Fitzgerald, Dec. 14, 1983. The family will receive friends from 9 a.m. until the time of a funeral service at 11 a.m. on Thursday, June 2, 2011 at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, OH. The Reverend Dr. Nick Cacciatore and Reverend Woody Stemple will co-officiate. Interment will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery, Vermilion.
