Dorothy May Hart (nee Wood), 90, of Vermilion, died Friday, October 1, 2010 at Southwest General Medical Center, Middleburg Heights, after a 7 month illness. Born November 28, 1919 in Cleveland, Dorothy was a lifelong resident of Vermilion. After graduating from Oberlin Business College, she worked at Wakefield Brass, Vermilion and Standard Oil, Cleveland. Dorothy was a member of the United Church of Christ Congregational where she was active in Marmaru. She enjoyed bridge, gardening, flowers, sewing, knitting and baking. She and her husband, Jim, were charter members of the Eight Ball Dance Club. Survivors include her husband of 63 years, Albert Henry "Jim" Hart; 2 sons, Peter Hart, Vermilion and James (Pam) Hart, Los Altos Hills, CA; 2 daughters, Marcia (Donald) Duval Santa Clara, CA and Joan Hart, Oshkosh, WI; grandchildren, David and Daniel Duval and Adrienne Hart. . Her parents, Laverne and Nellie (Klaar) Wood and stepfather, Presdee Burrow Morgan, preceded her in death as well as sister, Mary Bogart and brother, Paul Wood. Friends may call Friday, October 8, 2010 from 2-4 pm and 6 - 8 pm at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street Vermilion, Ohio. A memorial service will be Saturday October 9, 2010 at 11 a.m. at the United Church of Christ Congregational, 990 State Street, Vermilion. The Reverend Wendell Broker, will officiate.
