Dorothy T. Korzen

Dorothy T. Korzen (nee Zienka), 85, of Lorain, died peacefully Monday, August 3, 2015 surrounded by family at Anchor Lodge Retirement Village, Lorain. She was born August 28, 1929 in Cleveland and had been a Rochester, MI resident for 30 years moving to Vermilion in 2012 and Lorain in 2013. Dorothy had a great sense of humor, enjoyed people, and easily made friends wherever she went. She is survived by her daughters, Susan Mary (David) Witkowski of Vermilion, Nancy Marie (Sheldon) Swenson of Arvada, CO, Julie Ann (Daniel) Krupp of Mexico Beach, FL; son, Anthony Joseph (Barbara) Korzen of Hilton Head Island, SC; grandchildren: Matthew,Lana, Katie, Joe, Mollie, Casey, and Allison; great-grandchildren: Courtney, Mallory, and Wally; sister, Christine Wiersch of North Royalton; brother, Ernie Zienka of Willoughby Hills; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband,Norman Stanley Korzen in 2012; parents, Peter and Cecilia (nee Murawski) Zienka; and brothers, George and Joseph Zienka, The family will receive friends on Friday, Aug. 7, 2015 from 10:00 am until the time of a memorial service at 1:00 pm at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, OH. Father Ron Brickner will officiate. Inurnment will take place at Guardian Angel Cemetery, Rochester, MI at a later date.
