Dorothy Marie Summers

Dorothy Marie Summers (nee Cramer), 80, of Vermilion, died Friday, June 17, 2011 at Mercy Regional Medical Center after a short illness. Born December 29, 1930 in Grafton, WV, she had been a Vermilion resident since 1950 moving from West Virginia. Dorothy worked for the Pickle Works, MA Harrison Manufacturing and most recently for BMP Industries, Birmingham, as an Inspector and machine operator for nearly 20 years retiring in 2008. She enjoyed supporting different veterans organizations, crocheting, embroidering, gardening, and especially enjoyed spending time with family. She is survived by her sons, Douglas H. Summers and Larry L. (Margaret) Summers both of Vermilion; daughter, Margie A. Morrow of Wakeman, OH; 6 grandchildren: Jason, Patty, Janette, Brian, Willie and Amanda; brothers, Kenneth P. "Butch" Cramer of Vermilion and Edgar "Buck" Cramer of Baltimore, MD; and a sister, Elizabeth Sypolt of Terra Alta, WV. She was preceded in death by her husband Everett Theodore Summers in 1964, parents, Hugh and Margaret Virginia (nee Smith) Cramer, daughter, Tammy Beetler, grandson, Chad Morrow, daughter-in-laws, Sheila Summers and Dorsey Summers; brothers, Danna and William Cramer; and sister, Orpha Jean Wolfe The family will receive friends on Monday, June 20, 2011 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street Vermilion OH. Funeral services will be Tuesday, June 21, 2011 at 11:00 AM at the Riddle Funeral Home. The Reverend Cliff Morris will officiate. Interment will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery, Vermilion.
