Dorothy M. Wilczynski

Dorothy M. Wilczynski (nee Nowicki ), 86, of Lorain, died Tuesday, October 1, 2013 at Stein Hospice, Sandusky after a short illness. Dorothy was born August 23, 1927 in Lorain, and had been a lifelong area resident. Dorothy was a member of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church. She had been employed as a cashier at Meyer-Goldberg. She is survived by sons Dale (Keri) Wilczynski of Elyria, and David (Judi) Wilczynski of Huron; daughter Diane (Larry) Henthorn of Hillsboro, OH; grandsons, Ben Wilczynski, and Tony Wilczynski; step-grandsons Danny and Tyler Orzech; sister Anita (Robert) Bodak of Lorain. She was preceded in death by her husband, Anthony Wilczynski in 2002, grandson Timothy Henthorn, and parents Frank and Mary (nee Chula) Nowicki. The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 3rd from 4-7 p.m. at the Dombrowski-Riddle Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 1939 Oberlin Ave., Lorain. Prayers will be said at the funeral home Friday at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m.at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church 418 W. 15th St., Lorain. The Reverend Fr. Robert Glepko will officiate. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
