Edgar Lee Bass

Edgar Lee Bass, 82, of Birmingham, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, July 7, 2020 at his home. He was born April 20, 1938 in Clay City, IL and had been a Birmingham resident for the past 37 years moving from Marion, OH. Edgar was a veteran of the US Army and worked for Ohio Edison as a Foreman for 31 years retiring in 1998. He enjoyed fixing electronics, spending time with his family, and he especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He is survived by his sons, Brian Bass of Wakeman, Eric (Shannon) Bass of Birmingham, and Matthew Bass of Birmingham; daughter, Jennifer (Rick) Rosson of Westlake; grandchildren, Sam, Kylee, Dominic, Logan, Ariana, and Connor; and his great granddaughter, Allison. He was preceded in death by his wife, Carol (nee Lapington) Bass in 2011; father, Lawrence Bass; mother, Neva (nee Sanders) Harvey; and his sister, Marion Conard. Private visitation will be held with a graveside service on Friday, July 10, 2020 at 3:00 p.m. at Birmingham Cemetery, Birmingham.
