Edna Ilene Huey (nee Gregg), 88, of Vermilion, died Friday, July 24, 2015 at her home after a sudden illness. Edna was born December 9, 1926 in Commodore, PA and had been a Vermilion resident for the past 55 years moving from Pennsylvania. She had attended Lakeview Baptist Church, Vermilion and enjoyed watching soap operas, her dog Sophia, and spending time with her grandchildren. She is survived by her daughters, Emily Hembree of Vermilion, Donna Park of Delta, CO, and Beverly (Fred) Smith of Vermilion; son, Harold W. (Brenda) Huey of Vermilion; 5 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and sisters, Rosella Connerby of Heilwood, PA and Maxine Hibbard of Waterford, PA. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Lowman Huey in 1976; parents, James Ford and Ester (nee Crawford) Gregg; brothers, Ralph, Ben, Ken, and Gene; and sisters, Wava, Ruth, Nina, LaRue, and Norma. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 28, 2015 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, OH. Funeral services will be Wednesday, July 29, 2015 at 11:00 am at the funeral home. The Reverend Donald New will officiate. Interment will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery, Vermilion.
