Edward Paul Fisher,97, of Vermilion, died Thursday, March 2, 2023 at Mercy New Life Hospice after a brief illness.
He was born May 14, 1925 in Salem, OH and had been a Vermilion resident for the past 30 years moving from Olmsted Falls.
Edward was a veteran of the US Navy serving during World War II on the USS North Carolina "The Show Boat".
Edward attended Oberlin College and graduated from Marquette University in 1944. He worked for Osborn Manufacturing Co. as an Engineer and transitioned into their national sales manager where he worked for 20 years, retiring in 1992.
He was a member of Olmsted Falls Congregational Church and the Masons, Olmsted Falls Lodge. Edward enjoyed golfing, swimming, sailing, listening to Frank Sinatra and Sara Vaughn and he especially enjoyed reading William Shakespeare.
He is survived by his son, Edward (Sabrina) Fisher of Vermilion; daughter, Suzanne Fisher of Olmsted Falls; grandchildren, Lisa, Cara and Brooke; 7 great grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchild, Konnor.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Carol Fisher in 2014; parents, James and Emma (nee Kobitz); daughter, Bonnie Jean Fisher; brothers, James, John and Bill Fisher; and sisters, Frances Fisher, Letticia Russell, and Marie Fisher.
Private services will be held with interment at Chestnut Grove Cemetery, Olmsted Falls.
