Eileen Patricia Abraham (née Bartlett), 75, of Amherst, passed away on Tuesday, June 18, 2024, at Banner - University Medical Center in Phoenix, AZ, after a lengthy illness.
Born on April 3, 1949, in Newfoundland, Canada, Eileen had been a resident of Amherst and Vermilion for the past 54 years, having moved from Huron.
She had a zest for life and loved golfing, boating, reading, and shopping. Above all, she cherished her role as a grandmother and treasured the time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Regardless of the activity, Eileen always brought her jokes, wit, and love of having a good time.
Eileen enjoyed a fulfilling career as a realtor, working for various agencies, including Realty One in Amherst, for 20 years.
Eileen is survived by her husband of nearly 56 years, Gregory Alan Abraham of Amherst; her children, Jeffrey (Paula) Abraham of Phoenix, AZ, Diane (Michael) Xander of Amherst, Debra (Brian) Mastellone of Vermilion, Steven (Dominic Trejo) Abraham of Lakewood, CO, and Denise (Daniel) Blatt of Amherst; grandchildren: Morgan, Maison, Ava, Abe, Gavin, Gretchen, Gwyneth, Benjamin, and Atticus; great grandchildren, Brynn, Henry, and Kate; her sister, Kathryn (Dave) Lengyel of Lorain; her brothers, Angus (Sandy) Bartlett of Vermilion and Dennis (Renee) Bartlett of LaGrange, OH; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Bertram and Mary (née Balmer) Bartlett, and her brothers, Gregory Bartlett and Samuel Thomas Bartlett.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 27, 2024 from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, Ohio. Funeral services will be held Friday, June 28, 2024 at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Rugby Cemetery, Brownhelm Township followed by a Celebration of Life at the Vermilion on the Lake Clubhouse at 1:00 p.m.
