Elaine Ann Traylor

Elaine Ann Traylor (nee Crawford), 67, of Vermilion, died Wednesday, October 29, 2008 at Kingston of Vermilion after a one year illness. She was born June 12, 1941 in Independence, Missouri, and lived 42 years in Vermilion. She owned Expedited Shipping Inc. retiring in December 2007. She had also owned and operated Trio Air Service which included an air ambulance service. She was a member of Women's Business Enterprise National Council and enjoyed fishing, gardening, aviation, and spending time with her grandchildren. She was also an advocate for autism. She had her student pilot's license. Survivors include her husband of 49 years, James Traylor; daughter, Lisa Shaffer of Cuyahoga Falls; son, David Traylor of Vermilion; grandchildren, Todd Bullion, Emili Traylor, Blake Bullion, Cassidy Shaffer, and Nicholas Shaffer; a brother, Gene Crawford and 2 nieces. Preceding her in death were her parents, Walter and Georgia (nee Peterman) Crawford, son Todd Traylor and granddaughter, Tiffani Kay Traylor, and her brother, Randall Crawford. Friends may call Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion. Funeral services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Matthew Humphrey, Life Celebrant, will officiate. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Vermilion.
