Eleanor M. Bilancini (nee Kovacs), 88, of Lorain, passed away Sunday, April 8, 2012 at Mercy Regional Medical Center after a short illness. She was born June 11, 1923 in Toledo, OH, and lived most of her life in Lorain. Eleanor was a homemaker, and enjoyed ceramics, crocheting, gardening, reading, and crossword puzzles. She did babysitting, and also tutored children in the Stars Program. She enjoyed spending time with family, especially her grandchildren. Eleanor is survived by sons Kenneth (Maureen) Bilancini of Vermilion, David (Bonnie) Bilancini of Loudonville, and Kevin (Kim) Bilancini of Amherst; daughters Karen Bilancini of Covina, CA, Debra (Randy) Koleszar of Grafton, and Denise (James) Jaworski of Amherst; brother Donald Kovacs of Monroe, NC; sister-in-law Elvira Bylicki of Lorain; 14 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Anthony on April 28, 1999, parents Stephen and Elizabeth (nee Kuhn) Kovacs, and brothers Albert and Steven Kovacs. Visitation will be Thursday, April 12th from 4-8 P.M. at Dombrowski-Riddle Funeral Home & Cremation Service 1939 Oberlin Ave., Lorain. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday 9:30 a.m. at the Catholic Church of St. Peter 3651 Oberlin Ave., Lorain with prayers beginning at the funeral home at 9:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain. Contributions in Eleanor's memory may be given to the Catholic Church of St. Peter Endowment Fund 3651 Oberlin Ave., Lorain, OH 44053.
