Elizabeth A. Bowen

Elizabeth A. Bowen (nee Moore), 86 of Vermilion , died Friday, November 28, 2008 at her home after a short illness. She was born November 4, 1922 in Erie, PA and has been a Vermilion resident since 1947 moving from Westfield, NY. She was a member of the United Church of Christ Congregation, Vermilion. Elizabeth was a devoted mother and enjoyed sewing, reading, and crossword puzzles. Survivors include her daughter, Sharon Skinner of Vermilion, sons, Stephen Bowen of Westfield, NY, Douglas (Rita) Bowen of Elyria, and Derek Bowen of Vermilion; 8 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. Preceding her in death were her husband Ernest Bowen in 1991, parents, Anthony Wallace and Catherine (nee Turner) Moore; brothers, Richard and Wallace Moore; sister, Ruth Coe; and daughter-in-law, Eldora Bowen. Graveside services will be held Tuesday, Dec. 2, 2008 at 1:00 pm at Westfield Portland Union Cemetery, East Main Rd., US Rte 20 between Westfield and Portland.
