Elizabeth Haber, 83 of Vermilion, died Wednesday, June 22, 2005 in Parkvue Health Care Center, Sandusky after a short illness. She was born July 7, 1921 in Elyria, OH and has been a life long Vermilion resident. She worked as a nurses aid for Lorain Community Hospital (Community Health Partners) retiring after 23 years. She was a member of Vermilion Evangelical and Reformed Church and enjoyed reading. Survivors include her daughter, Karen Scott of Vermilion, 2 sons: Gene Haber of Vermilion, and Richard Haber of Lorain, 6 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren. Preceding her in death were her husband Arland Haber in 1989, parents, Fred and Hattie (nee Boals) Schroeder, son, Dale Haber in 1995; 2 brothers: Donald Schroeder and Walter Schroeder; and grandson, Shawn Scott. Graveside services will be held Monday, June 27, 2005 at 3:00 pm at the Maple Grove Cemetery, Vermilion with the Reverend Richard Wierwille, pastor of Wakeman Congregational United Church of Christ will be officiating.
