Elizabeth Henderson

Elizabeth E. "Liz" Henderson (nee Cooper), 62, of Vermilion, passed away, July 8, 2026, at Metrohealth Cleveland after a brief illness.

She was born December 15, 1963, in Amherst, OH and had been a lifelong Vermilion resident.

Elizabeth worked for Vermilion Municipal Court as a deputy clerk retiring in 2019 after 35 years.

She was a member of Harbourtown Community Church and enjoyed car shows, baking, decorating, gardening and plants, entertaining, reading, watching Hallmark and especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her son, Chad (Robin) Henderson of Vermilion, OH, and daughter, Carey (James) Henderson-Smallwood of Belington, WV; grandchildren, Haylie and Alexis Henderson and Jaxson Henderson; brothers, Richard (Lisa) Cooper of Berlin Heights, OH, and Lowell (Lynn) Cooper of NC; and mother-in-law, Bonnie Martinez.

She was preceded in death by her husband, David Edwin Henderson; son, Luke Henderson; parents, W.C. and Georgene Agnes (nee Horning) Cooper; brother, Gary Cooper; and her father-in-law, Bruce Henderson.

The family will receive friends on Monday, July 13, 2026, from 11 a.m. until the time of service at 1:00 at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, Ohio. Inurnment will take place at Maple Grove Cemetery, Vermilion at a later date.
