Elizabeth Reid Lamarche

Elizabeth Reid LaMarche (nee Shook), 77, of Vermilion, died Tuesday, February 17, 2015 at her home. She was born August 23, 1937 in Holloway, OH, and had been a Vermilion resident since 1946 moving from Lorain. Elizabeth graduated from Vermilion High School class of 1955 and St. Joseph's School of Practical Nursing. She worked at Wakefield Brass, Vermilion and then started her career in nursing with Riverview Nursing Home, Vermilion. For the past 22 years she worked as an RN for Sprenger Retirement Centers. She was a member of the Vermilion Evangelical and Reformed Church. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, and needlepoint. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren. She is survived by her daughters, Suzette LaMarche of Vermilion; Tracy (Sam) Lewis of Vermilion, and Sara (Mark ) Tidwell of Vermilion; grandchildren, Kristina (Justin) Bowden, Malissia (Derek) Misorski, Mason and David Lewis, and Grace, Faith, and Justice Tidwell; great grandchildren, Marley Misorski, and Jocelyn and Isabelle Bowden; sister, Charlotte Fandrich of Vermilion; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, George LaMarche in 2009 and parents, Charles and Bernice (nee Cropp) Shook. The family will receive friends on Sunday, Feb. 22, 2015 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street Vermilion OH. Funeral services will be Monday, Feb. 23, 2015 at 11:00 am at the funeral home. The Reverend Nick Cacciatore will officiate. Interment will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery, Vermilion.
