Elizabeth Ruth Sprunk

Elizabeth "Betty" Ruth Sprunk (nee Moats), 74 of Vermilion, died Sunday, October 26, 2008 in Mill Manor Nursing Home following a lengthy illness. She was born March 7, 1934 in Berlin Heights and was a life long resident of the area. Betty was a longtime co-owner of the Sunset View Motel and Lake Cottages on West Lake Road in Vermilion. She attended the former German Evangelical and Reformed Church in Mittawanga. She enjoyed traveling and visiting with those staying in the lake cottages. She is survived by a daughter, Sharon Fisher of Vermilion; 5 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren; sister, Berthabelle M. Duchene of Vermilion. She was preceded-in-death by her former husband, William Sprunk, parents, Lloyd and Kathryn (nee Kishman) Moats, daughter, Renee Louise Bates and a grandson, Timothy. The family will receive friends at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, on Wednesday, October 29, 2008 from 12:30 p.m. until the time of service at 2:00 p.m.. The Reverend Nick Cacciatore, pastor of the Vermilion Evangelical & Reformed Church will officiate. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Berlin Heights.
