Elizabeth J. "Betty" Visci, 85 of Elyria, died Sunday, April 4, 2004 in Elyria United Methodist Village. She was born July 4, 1918 in Amherst, Ohio, and was a lifelong resident of the area. She graduated from Amherst High School and attended Lorain Business College. Elizabeth was a homemaker and a lover of music, card playing and traveling and dancing with her husband. She was a member of Catholic Church of St. Peter, St. Rita's Guild, and New Era Card Club. Survivors include daughter, Natalie Freeman of Everett, WA, two sons, Fred Visci of Lorain and Bob Visci of Orlando, FL ; 4 grandchildren; and, 4 great grandchildren. Preceding her in death were her husband Ferdinand A. Visci on July 12, 2003, parents, Steven and Elizabeth (nee Tirpak) Toth , daughter, Carol Visci in 1994, sisters, Mary Ryan and Emma Schultz, a twin brother who died at birth, and a brother, Frank. Friends may call Friday, April 9, 2004 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the Dombrowski-Volak-Riddle, 1939 Oberlin Avenue, Lorain, Ohio. Prayers will be said at the funeral home at 10:30am on Saturday, April 10, 2004, followed by an 11:00am Mass of Christian Burial at the Catholic Church of St. Peter, 3501 Oberlin Avenue, Lorain with Reverend David Woost, Associate Pastor, officiating. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Contributions may be made to St. Mary School, c/o Children's Activity Fund, 237 4th Street, Elyria, Ohio 44035.
