Ellen F. Eddy, 75, of Vermilion, passed away on Friday, July 4, 2008 at Kingston of Vermilion, after a lengthy illness. She was born on February 27, 1933 in Lorain and attended Lorain High School. She lived in Elyria before moving to Vermilion in 1964. Ellen raised her family in Vermilion and was married for 27 years. Ellen's previous employment included Nielsen Jewelers in Lorain and Harrison Manufacturing in Birmingham, although her passion was working as a caregiver for numerous people throughout the local area. Ellen was an avid Cleveland Indians and Browns fan, enjoyed bowling and boating. She also was a member of the Ladies Auxillary of AMVETS Post 22 in Vermilion. She had an exceptional gift when it came to caring for others. She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother and friend and will be deeply missed by many. She is survived by her daughter, Pam (Tom) Gleason of Vermilion; sons, Rick (Barb) Eddy of Wadsworth and Eric (Lynda) Eddy of Plymouth, Michigan; grandchildren, Paul and Zachary Gleason, Brian, David, Greg, Eric Lee and Deanna Eddy. She is preceded-in death by her parents, Charles and Josephine Baranauska and brothers, Charles Baron and John Baron. A private family memorial service will be held at the Riddle Funeral Home in Vermilion with Life Celebrant Matt Humphrey officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
