Elva Hiebert

Elva Hiebert, age 91, passed away Saturday, May 14, 2016 at Mercy Regional Medical Center, in Lorain, Ohio, after a three week stay. Elva was born June 1, 1924 in Sioux Lookout, Ontario and lived in Atikokan, Ontario from 1966 until 2016. In her working years Elva was a bookkeeper. She grew up in the Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed dancing, sewing, crocheting, and was a very talented seamstress. She enjoyed the Red Hat Club and also volunteered for the Lion's Club. Elva is survived by her daughter Jacquelyn Anders-Bailey (Matthew) of Vermilion, Ohio; son Darrell Hiebert of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan; grandson Dakota Bailey. She was preceded in death by her husband Arthur Hiebert, and parents Frank and Helen (nee Potts) McAllen. Private family services were held.
