Emily H. Noster (nee Stein ), 94, of Lorain, died Saturday, June 25, 2011 at Golden Acres Nursing Home, Lorain. Emily was born June 7, 1917 in Lorain to the late John and Anna Stein, and had been a lifelong Lorain resident. She was a lifelong member of Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Chuch in Lorain, where she attended grade school and was also in the Young Ladies Sodality. Emily loved music and sang in the church choir. She attended Lorain High School. Emily spoke Polish fluently, and was a very hard working homemaker. She was an excellent cook, and enjoyed preparing large dinner buffets at Christmas time for family and friends to enjoy. She also experienced the Lorain tornado of 1924. She is survived by her son Alan Noster of Lorain, and one brother Raymond Stein of Sheffield Lake. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Ben Noster in 2002, and brothers Don Stein, Ted Stein, and Joe Stejno. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 28th from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. at the Dombrowski- Riddle Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 1939 Oberlin Avenue, Lorain. The Altar Rosary Society will recite the rosary at 6:30 P.M. Prayers will be said at the funeral home Wednesday morning at 9:30 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 A.M. at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church. The Reverend Fr. Robert Glepko will officiate. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery. The family suggests memorial contributions to Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church.
