Emmett C. Hutchison

Emmett C. Hutchison, 83, of Lorain, died Friday, August 31, 2018 at Mercy Regional Medical Center after a lengthy illness. He was born November 24, 1934 in Clarksville, PA and had been a Lorain resident for the past 20. Emmett was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force serving as a Radar Technician during the Korean War. After his discharge from the Air Force, he began working as an electronics technician. He worked his way up to Branch Manager at IBM where he retired in 1998 . He was a member of the Masons and the VFW Post #451. He enjoyed fishing, playing Bingo, and playing cards. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Josephine Hutchison of Lorain; sons, Ben Hutchison of Lorain and Steven ( Tina Lubrano) Hutchison of Sheffield Lake; daughter, Lanette (John) Acord of Huron; grandchildren, Curtis, Lindsey, and Jessica; and great grandchildren, Caleb, Mikayla, and Liam. He was preceded in death by his parents, Marion and Hannah (nee Craggs) Hutchison and his sisters, Louise Turner and Helen Litman. Private family services will be held.
