Estelle Franklin

Estelle Bernice E. Franklin (nee Janes), 92, of Vermilion, died Thursday, March 7, 2019 at Ames Family Hospice House, Westlake after a lengthy illness. She was born June 30, 1926 in Memphis, TN and had been a Lorain resident for 56 years before moving to Vermilion. Bernice had worked in childcare at Little People's Palace, Lorain for many years. She had been a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Lorain and enjoyed reading and crocheting. She is survived by her daughter, Janes "Jan" Irene (Bill) Kinloch of Vermilion; sister, Theresa Harper of Memphis, TN; and her half brother, Paul "Rocky" Raffo of Vermilion. She was preceded in death by her husband, John S. Franklin in 2013; parents, Frank and Irene (nee Urbancic) Janes; and her half sisters, Mary Louise Raffo, and Frances Kimble. Funeral services will take place Monday, March 11, 2019 at 2:00 pm at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, OH 44089. Private interment will take place at Maple Grove Cemetery, Vermilion.
