Ethel Jane Dellefield (nee Aranyi), went home to be with our Lord on August 6, 2008, following a lengthy illness. She was born on September 17, 1927 in Lorain, where she was a lifelong resident and a 1945 graduate of Lorain High School. Ethel was very proud of her Hungarian heritage and was a member of the Hungarian Reformed Church where she was active her entire life. She was also active in the Busy Marthas Guild and The Encouragers. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who enjoyed nothing better than being surrounded by her family. She had a way of making those around her laugh and feel comfortable. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Victor Dellefield, daughters, Dawn (Philip) Berens of Lorain and Carrie (John) Romanin of Chesterland, and 3 grandchildren, Abigail, Zachary and Vincent. She was preceded-in-death by her parents, Joseph and Barbara (nee Kovach) Aranyi, brothers, Steven, Joseph and Louis Aranyi, and sisters, Goldie Aranyi, Margaret Klein, Patsy Norton and Velma Trifiletti. A private family memorial was held at Ridge Hill Memorial Park in Amherst.
