Filomena "Fannie" Marino (nee Todarello), age 97, of Amherst, passed away peacefully Sunday, September 30, 2012 at Amherst Manor to whom her family would like to thank for all of their wonderful care and service. She was born in Lorain on October 10, 1914 and lived most of her life there. She graduated from Lorain High School in 1932 and then went to work at Smith & Gerhart. Before her retirement in 1974, she would also work at J.C. Penney's, Higbee's security department and the Lorain Detention Home, where she was a girls' supervisor for 16 years. Fannie was a life-long parishioner of St. Peter's Church in Lorain and she enjoyed crocheting, cooking, collecting dolls, playing bingo and traveling. Some of more memorable voyages brought her to Italy, Spain, Morocco and Hawaii. Survivors include daughters Mrs. Sylvia Canada of St. Louis, Rosemary Teleha (John) and Sandra Campana (former son-in-law David) both of Lorain; son David Marino (Kimberly) of Columbus; grandchildren Michael Canada (Debbie), Barbara Augustine (Steve), Mark Teleha (Mary), John Teleha Jr. (Linda), Anthony Teleha (Ellen), Kristian Campana (Julia), and Rocky Campana (Jennifer); and great-grandchildren Casie Canada, Michael and Kristen Teleha, Ryan and Katelyn Campana, and Nicholas, Elena and Aiden Teleha. She is preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Anthony Marino; sisters Louise Houff, Rose Yelenik, Josephine Detillio, and Joan Gabor; brother Eugene Todarello; and parents Rocco and Mary (nee Alleruzzo) Todarello. The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 4th from 6-8 p.m. at the Dombrowski-Riddle Funeral Home & Cremation Center , 1939 Oberlin Avenue, Lorain. Prayers will be said at the funeral home on Friday October 5th at 9:00 a.m., followed by a 9:30 a.m. mass at St. Peter Roman Catholic Church, 3655 Oberlin Avenue, Lorain.
