Florence Eleanore Bommer (nee Krute), 78 of Vermilion, died Saturday, January 17, 2004 in Community Health Partners West after a sudden illness. She was born December 7, 1925 in Cleveland, Ohio. She was a life long resident of North Ridgeville before moving to Vermilion a year ago to the home of her granddaughter. She worked as an assembler for Nordson Manufacturing retiring after 17 years in 1987. She had also worked for General Industries in Elyria. She enjoyed gambling, gardening, she was an avid animal lover especially cats, cooking, fishing, and spending time with her grand and great grandchildren. She is survived by her 2 daughters, Linda Hadaway of Vermilion, and Carol Massey of North Ridgeville; 3 grandchildren, Todd Hadaway of North Ridgeville, Lisa Faulkner of Vermilion and Dawn Ryan of Vermilion; 2 great grandchildren; 4 sisters, Clara Chaney of North Eaton, Irene Spence of Osprey, FL, Anna Mae Nicewander of Seville, OH and Donna Kummerlen of La Grange, OH and 2 brothers, George Krute of Opa Locka , FL and Edward Krute of Brooksville, FL. She was preceded in death by her husband, Willard, in 1984; brothers, Eugene, Everett and Elmer Krute and her parents, Alexander Krute and Hazel Eleanore Rentfle. The family will receive friends Thursday, January 22, 2004 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, Ohio. Services will be held at the Riddle Funeral Home, Friday, January 23, 2004, at 2 pm. Contributions may be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1905 or the charity of the donor's choice.
