Florence Maiden

Dombrowski-Riddle 1939 Oberlin Avenue Lorain, OH 44052 (440) 246-2314 (440) 967-4040 Florence R. (nee Bylicki) Maiden , age 96, of Gahanna, OH and formerly of Lorain, passed away Saturday, March 19, 2011 at her residence. She was born July 30, 1914 in Lorain to the late Joseph and Rose (nee Nowicki) Bylicki, and had lived in Gahanna for the past 10 years. Florence spent most of her life in Lorain but had lived in New Orleans for a year during W.W. II. She was a member of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church, and a former member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the P.L.A.V. She enjoyed hat making, and painting. Florence is survived by her daughter Judith (Larry Stauder) Maiden of Gahanna; brother Robert Zimmerman of Vermilion; loyal companions Indiana, and Curley Q. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband George Maiden on May 2, 1988; brothers Stanley and Ted Bylicki; sisters Margaret Wasela, and Irene Honoshofsky; step-father Fred Zimmerman. Visitation will be Tuesday, March 22nd from 6-8 P.M. at the Dombrowski- Riddle Funeral Home 1939 Oberlin Ave., Lorain. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home.
