Florence A Rotuno

Florence A Rotuno (nee Adamczyk), 84, of Lorain, died Wednesday, April 16, 2014, at Elmcroft of Lorain after a lengthy illness. She was born October 14, 1929 in New Castle, PA, and had been a Vermilion area resident for the past15 years moving from Wakeman. Florence had worked for Bell Telephone Co., New Castle, PA and had also assisted her husband, Louis Rotuno, at his Convenient Food Mart in Oberlin. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Vermilion. Her faith and family were the center of her life. She also enjoyed music, ceramics, reading, traveling, cooking and baking, and bowling. She is survived by her daughters, Claire (Kurt) Burger of Vermilion and Rosemary (Donald ) Johnson of Fairfield; sons, Mark L. Rotuno of Vermilion, Timothy L. (Jonelle) Rotuno of Elyria, and Charles (Kathy) Rotuno of Wooster; 15 grandchildren: Erica Sovie, Tricia Cozart, Julia Stanger, Angela Rotuno, Stephanie Rotuno, Clayton Rotuno, Monica Letterman, Zachary Rotuno, Alex Rotuno, Michelle Rotuno-Johnson, Michael Rotuno-Johnson, Matthew Rotuno-Johnson, Katelyn Rotuno, Theresa Rotuno, and Gregory Rotuno; 3 great grandchildren: Caroline Sovie, Adriania Stanger, and Emelia Stanger; sister, Irene Ryczaj and Jean Gawdyda both of New Castle; and brothers, Theodore Adamczyk of New Castle, Julian Adamczyk of New Castle, and Max Adamczyk of Canton. She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis E. Rotuno Sr. in 1996, son, Louis E. Rotuno Jr. in 2007, parents, John and Rose (nee Babski) Adamczyk, sisters, Helen Duda, Bernice Witkowski, and Josephine Pivovar, and brother, John Adamczyk. The family will receive friends on Monday, April 21, 2014 from 4-8 pm at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street Vermilion OH. Prayer will be at the funeral home on Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at 10:30 am followed by an 11:00 am Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary Catholic Church, 731 Exchange St., Vermilion. The Reverend Ron Brickner will officiate. Interment will follow at Saint Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Amherst.
