Frances Schafer

Frances Schafer (nee Boraski), 96, of Huron, died Wednesday, July 14, 2021 at Stein Hospice, Sandusky after a brief illness. She was born October 11, 1924 in Lorain and had been a Huron resident for the past 18 years moving from Arizona and Vermilion. Frances worked for Elyria Memorial Hospital as a LPN for 12 years. She is survived by her son, Wayne F (Ann W.) Schafer of Huron; daughter, Pam (Robert) Harris of Florence, AZ; 6 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and 7 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fay Edward Schafer in 2008; parents, Frank and Sophia (nee Soska) Boraski; uncle and aunt who raised her, Charles and Rose Boraski; brothers, Carl, Edmond, and Edward; sisters, Vicky and Florence; and her grandson, J.R.
