Frances L Zellers

Frances L. Zellers (nee Moes), 73, of Vermilion, passed away Thursday, September 3, 2026, at her home following a brief illness.

She was born December 31, 1952, in Lorain, Ohio, and was a lifelong Vermilion resident.

Frances dedicated 40 years of her life to nursing, a profession she truly loved. Caring for others was more than a career to her; it was something that brought her great purpose and fulfillment. She touched the lives of countless patients and families throughout her years of service.

She loved tending to her garden flowers, spending time with her grandchildren and animals-especially dogs-and looked forward to enjoying a good cup of coffee and a sweet treat. She will be remembered for her caring nature, her love of animals, and the warmth she shared with those around her.

She is survived by her husband of 26 years, Joseph Zellers of Vermilion; son, Patrick Coleff; daughter, Alesha (Chad) Lifka; seven grandchildren; siblings, William Moes, Robert (Mary) Moes and Jean (James) Liljegren; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Nelson Frank and Alice (nee Bartter) Moes.

Private family services will be held.
