Frank R Meier

Frank R. Meier, 74, of Wakeman, died Sunday, June 26, 2016 at Autumn Aegis Nursing Home after a lengthy illness. He was born May 26, 1942 in Rocky River and had been a Wakeman resident for the past 7 years moving from Eaton Township. Frank invented the Auto Display platform and also worked as a manager for Dealer Tire, Cleveland. He was a member of the Bay Presbyterian Church and the Choppers Hot Rod Club. He enjoyed drag racing, hot rods, and anything to do with cars. He is survived by his wife, Marla (nee Jarrell) Meier of Wakeman; son, Mark (Diane) Meier of Elyria; daughters, Sharon Meier of Elyria and Diane Nelson of Eagle Pt., OR; 6 grandchildren; and his brother, George Meier of CA. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank Robert and Clare Louise (nee Allison) Meier. Private family services will be held.
