Frank 'Buffalo' Passanisi

Frank S. Passanisi , 70, of Lorain, died Friday, May 3, 2013 at New Life Hospice Center, Lorain after a short illness. He was born October 14, 1942 in Lorain where he has been a life long resident. Frank was a graduate of Lorain High School and a veteran of the Ohio Army National Guard. He had worked as a car salesman and sales general manager for various dealerships, most recently working at Kowalski Ford, Avon Lake. He was a member of Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church and Amvets Post #47. He was a sports enthusiast who was sought after by many pro baseball teams and he played on several traveling softball teams. He also enjoyed bowling, playing cards, and going to casinos. He is survived by his son, Franklin (Jamie) Passanisi of Lorain; daughter, Danielle (Tim) Devereaux of CA; son, Brian (Cindi) Toth of Pickerington, OH; 6 grandchildren: Lauren, Kennedy, Brady, Evan, Jessica, and Vanessa; several great grandchildren; beloved sister Virginia (Alfred) Mathewson of Lorain; step-father, Manuel Salatnai of Lorain; and many loving nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, James P. Passanisi, and mother Frances (nee Costello) Salatnai. The family will receive friends on Monday, May 6, 2013 from 5-8 pm at the Dombrowski-Riddle Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 1939 Oberlin Ave., Lorain. Prayers will be said at the funeral home on Tuesday, May 7, 2013 at 9:30 am followed by a 10 am Mass of Christian Burial at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, 418 W. 15th St., Lorain.
