Frank John Pinkham

Frank John Pinkham, 80, of Vermilion, died suddenly Wednesday, June 29, 2011 at his home. Born January 30, 1931 in Cleveland, OH, he had been a Vermilion resident for the past 46 years moving from Cleveland. He was a veteran of the US Air Force serving state side during the Korean Conflict. Frank owned and operated Frank's Auto Body and South Shore Boat Repair in Vermilion for 20 years retiring in 1996. He was a member of Amvets Post #22 and the Vermilion Fish and Game. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, woodworking, cooking, and was an avid reader. He is survived by his daughters, Denise (John) Zielske of Vermilion and Dionne (Tony) Suttell-Parish of Streetsboro; sons, Keith (Alice) Pinkham of Austin, TX, Kurt Pinkham of Lorain and Kelly Pinkham of Brooklyn; 7 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Elmer "Al" Pinkham of Danville, CA. He was preceded in death by his wife, Frances Julia Pinkham in 1998; son, Kevin Pinkham in 1982; parents, Frank E. and Mae (nee Jindra) Pinkham; and a sister, Pauline Kenneth. Private inurnment will take place at Maple Grove Cemetery, Vermilion.
