Frederick G Weber, 70, of Vermilion, died Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at his home after a brief illness. He was born May 29, 1950 in Columbus and he had been a Vermilion resident for the past 28 years moving from Lorain. Fred worked as a pipe fitter, welding instructor, and apprentice instructor for Pipefitters Local #120, Cleveland for 34 years, retiring in 2009. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, working on his home, and doing and teaching stained glass. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Leslie Ann (nee Briggs) Weber; sons, Ben (Holli) Weber of Lorain and Matt (Diana) Weber of Grafton; daughter, Meghan (Matthew) Wirks of Avon; grandchildren, Joshua (Zakia), Julianne, Jorja, Jonah, Arianna, and Alexis Weber and Madelyn, Mia, and Max Wirks; brothers, John Weber of Columbus, Mark Weber of Medina, Greg Weber of Cleveland, and Brian Weber of Avon; and his sisters, Margaret Kulchar of Amherst, Mary Ann Ringler of St. Louis, MO, and Maureen Martin of Lagrange. He was preceded in death by parents, Gervase and Mary (nee Dalton) Weber. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Inurnment will take place at Brownhelm Cemetery, Vermilion.
