Freddie "Fred" J. Weese, 65, of Monroeville, died Friday, May 21, 2010 in Fisher-Titus Medical Center after a brief illness. He was born July 21, 1944 in Sutton, WV and had been a Monroeville resident for the past 26 years moving from Castalia. He worked as a tool and die maker for New Departure, Sandusky and General Motors, Mansfield for 30 years, retiring in 2005. He was a member of the UAW # 913, Sandusky and was an avid motorcycle rider and racer. He started dirt bike and flat track racing in CA and raced locally at Norwalk, Mansfield, and Meadowlarks, Amherst. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his grandchildren and two dogs, Jackson and Benny. Survivors include his daughter, Heather (Larry) Weese Benton of Louisiana; son, William W. Weese of Ohio; grandchildren, Seth and Lydia Benton; sisters, Treva Beale of Signal Mnt., Tenn, and Martha Amato of Lorain, and several nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death were his parents, Fred S. and Sarah V. (nee Weese) Weese; sister Kay Fricke, and nephew, Joseph Amato. Friends may call Sunday, May 23, 2010 from 4-8 pm at the Dombrowski-Riddle Funeral Home, 1939 Oberlin Avenue, Lorain, Ohio. Graveside services will be held Monday, May 24, 2010 at 10:00 am at Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon with Pastor Rich Henry officiating.
