George R Carnes

George R. Carnes, 90, of Vermilion, died Sunday, September 20, 2020 at Mercy New Life Hospice, Lorain. He was born May 24, 1930 in Cleveland and had been a Vermilion resident for the past 19 years moving from Garfield Heights. George worked as a supervisor for Republic Steel and his retirement he was a School Bus driver for Garfield Heights for 10 years. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Faith (nee Figuli) Carnes of Vermilion; loving father to Mike (Teresa), Ralph (Sharon), Luke, and Sharon. Bampy to Justyne (Jesse), Kaylie (Luke), Courtney, Mallory, and the late Gage. Great grandfather to Neva, Jaxson, Kai, Ada, and Lillian. George also leaves behind his sister, Lynn Gesualdo (Anthony, deceased). He was also an Uncle, Great Uncle, cousin, and friend to many. Private Services will be held.
