George Joseph Markus

George Joseph Markus, Jr., 69, of Vermilion, died Monday, April 11, 2016 at his home. He was born April 10, 1947 in Lorain and had been a life long Vermilion area resident. George graduated from Lorain High School in 1965 and had most recently worked as a clerk at Drug Mart in Vermilion. He was a sports enthusiast and enjoyed bowling and managing youth baseball. He is survived by his brothers, Gregory Markus of Lorain and Gary Markus of Parma and his sister, Anna Brown of Lorain. He was preceded in death by his wife, Beverly Jean Markus in 2015; parents, George Joseph Sr. and Eleanor May (nee Dario) Markus. Private services were held.
