Georgenia Irene 'Genia' Marrero

Georgenia "Genia" Irene Marrero (nee Gabel), 36, of Vermilion, died Monday, January 19, 2015 at her home after a lengthy illness. Genia was born March 19, 1978 in Oberlin and had been a life long Vermilion area resident. She enjoyed painting ceramics and spending time with her family and friends. She especially enjoyed being a mother and spending time with her children. She is survived by her husband of 7 years, Jose Marrero; sons, Michael Robert Henery Jr. of Florence Twp. and Christian Thomas Smith of Amherst; daughters, Jaden and Diamond Marrero both at home; parents, Gino Gabel of Vermilion and Charl (nee Kudela) Gabel of Florence Twp.; and maternal grandparents, Thomas and Betty Kudela of Vermilion; 5 aunts, 2 uncles and many cousins. The family will receive friends on Saturday, Jan. 24, 2015 from 2:00 pm until the time of the funeral service at 5:00 pm at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, OH.
