Georgie Ruth Gladish

Georgie Ruth Gladish (nee Hathaway), 86, of Vermilion, died Sunday, November 25, 2007 at Community Health Partners, Lorain, after a brief illness. She was born May 7, 1921 in Clarksburg, WV. She has been a Vermilion resident the last 66 years moving from Millersburg, Ohio. She worked as a practical nurse at Halls Nursing Home. She attended the Harbourtown Community Church. She was a Cub Scout Den Mother and enjoyed traveling, camping and sewing. Survivors include sons, Gaylon Gladish of Vermilion and Darrell Gladish of Nelsonville; 2 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren a half brother, Gilbert Hathaway; 2 half sisters, Juanita, and Dian, and several nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were her husband, Russell Gladish in 1984; her parents, Emory and Clarabelle (nee Mace) Hathaway; 5 sisters, Lerlyn Virginia Hamrick, Beulah Teeling, Rea Eppley, Edith Sterrett, and Mattie Kaser and a brother, Paul Hathaway. A funeral service will be held Friday, November 30, 2007 at 11 a.m. Reverend Jim Cooper, pastor of the Harbourtown Community Church, will officiate.
