G. Jason Camera, 52, of Vermilion, died Friday, November 4, 2022 at his home after a sudden illness.
He was born July 16, 1970 in Lorain, OH and had been a life long Vermilion resident.
Jason worked in maintenance at Walmart, Sandusky for the past 5 years. He had also worked for Ford Motor Co., Lorain, Century Link, and WOW Internet.
He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church where he attended elementary school. He enjoyed wine making, cooking, collecting various items, playing video games, horror movies and books, and watching football, especially the Detroit Lions and Michigan Wolverines. He loved his family and always put everyone's needs before his own. He was a great father to his kids and his cats.
He is survived by his parents, Gerald D. and Sue (nee Hevener) Camera of Vermilion; son, David (Lisa Carano) Camera of Cortland, OH; daughters, Brittney Camera of Vermilion, Shelby Camera of Vermilion and Hayley Bollin of Sandusky; grandchildren, Avery, Hazel, and Milo; sisters, Kimberly (Mark) Gedeon of Vermilion and Robin (Scott) Horstman of Cuyahoga Falls; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Joseph and Nellie Camera and his maternal grandparents, Hubert and Mary G. Hevener.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, Nov. 10, 2022 from 3-7 pm at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, Ohio. Prayers will be said at the funeral home on Friday, Nov. 11, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. followed by a 10:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary Catholic Parish, 731 Exchange Street, Vermilion, OH 44089. Inurnment will follow at Brownhelm Cemetery, Vermilion.
