Gerald Edward Federinko

Gerald E. Federinko, age 70, of Oberlin, passed away at his home on Tuesday, May 27, 2025.

Born on April 1, 1955, in Indiana, Pennsylvania, Gerald had made Oberlin his home for the past 16 years after relocating from Elyria. Throughout his diverse career, he held many positions, but took the greatest pride in his work as a civilian with the Department of Defense in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Gerald was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Wellington and enjoyed the quiet pursuit of beekeeping.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 35 years, Laura Federinko; his mother, Geraldine Federinko of  Indiana, PA; and brothers, Richard Federinko of Indiana, PA, Patrick (Lynda) Federinko and Chris (Lynne) Federinko, both of State College, PA, and Ryan (Sharen) Federinko of Waxhaw, NC. He is also remembered fondly by several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, George Federinko, and brothers, George and John Federinko.

Private family services will be held.
