Glen William Coury, 64, of Vermilion, died Sunday, September 30, 2012 at New Life Hospice, Lorain after a 5 year illness. Glen was born March 3, 1948 in Lorain and had been a life long Vermilion resident. . He worked as an electrical designer for many companies including R.E. Warner and Associates and the Austin Company. He was a member of the United Church of Christ Congregational, Vermilion, a currant officer and active member of the Vermilion Lion's Club, and a former member of the Vermilion Fish and Game. He loved gardening, fishing, and riding his motorcycle. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Denise Coury (nee Aurelius) of Vermilion; mother, Lois Coury (nee Derby), Vermilion; daughters, Marissa (Stephen) Evanko of Lakewood and Sarah Coury of Lakewood; brother, David (Mary) Coury of Collins and sister, Cindy (Tom) Frakes of Amherst. He was preceded in death by his father, Glen A Coury, 2008 and a brother, Dennis Coury in 2004. The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 4, 2012 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, Ohio. Funeral services will be Friday, October 5, 2012 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. The Reverend Louis Bertoni will officiate.
