Glenn Hastings Angney, 58, of Wellington, died Thursday, July 12, 2012 after an automobile accident. He was born October 8, 1953 in Lorain, and had been a Wellington resident for the past 9 years moving from South Amherst and Vermilion. Glenn owned and operated Angney Automotive in South Amherst for the past 18 years and also owned Angney's Import Service in Amherst. He was a member of Alcoholics Anonymous and enjoyed astrology, working on cars, European cars, animals, and helping people who were going through difficult times, even at his own expense. He is survived by his wife of 15 years, Sandra (nee Thayer) Angney of Wellington; son, Glenn (Korrine) Angney of Lorain; daughters, Jillian Angney of Loveland and Katy Angney of Brook Park; sister, Brenda Popke of Sanford, NC; step-daughter, Rebecca Moyse of Olmsted Falls; step-sons, James Born, Joshua Born, and Joseph Born all of Oberlin and 11 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Allan B. and Betty J. (nee Hastings) Angney; and brother, Alex Angney. The family will receive friends Tuesday, July 17, 2012 from 4-8 pm at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, Ohio. Funeral services will be Wednesday, July 18, 2012 at 10 am at the Riddle Funeral Home. Pastor Scott Mitchell will officiate. Interment will follow at Brownhelm Cemetery, Vermilion.
