Glenn "Red" Hall, 80, of Vermilion, died Friday, March 6, 2015 at his home after a lengthy illness. Glenn was born January 10, 1935 in Letcher Co., KY and had been a Vermilion resident for the past 45 years moving from Lorain. He worked for Ford Motor Co., Lorain as a UAW Representative for 24 years and retired in 1991 after 30 years. He was affiliated with Fellowship Baptist Church, Lorain where he was baptized. He was a member of the Masons Ely Lodge 424 and UAW #425. Glenn enjoyed hunting, playing cards, watching football and Kentucky basketball, and spending time with his dog Bruno. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Frankie (nee Ossman) Hall of Vermilion, sons, Glenn "Skip, Red" (Juanita) Hall of Vermilion, George (Donna) Hall of Berlin Heights, Jimmy (Tina) Hall of Amherst, Tony (Dawn) Hall of Oak Harbor, and Tom "Boo" (Michele Urbas) Hall of Vermilion; daughter, Vicki Hall of Lorain; 15 grandchildren; many great and great-great grandchildren; brothers, Bill (Mary) and Luther Hall both of KY; sisters, Pauline Farley of Vermilion, Doris Lucas of S. Amherst; and Donna (Charles) Burton of Amherst; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alex and Ruby (nee Sergent) Hall; grandson Johnny Hall; and granddaughter, Elizabeth Paige Hall. The family will receive friends on Monday, March 9, 2015, from 4-8 pm at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, where a Masonic Service will be held at 7:30 pm by the Ely Lodge #424. Funeral services will be Tuesday, March 10, 2015 at 11:00 am at the funeral home. Pastor Bill Hall will officiate. Interment will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery, Vermilion.
