Gloreda Mae Lehman (nee Bennett), 81, of Vermilion, died Wednesday, March 16, 2016 at University Hospitals Elyria Medical Center after a short illness. Gloreda was born November 5, 1934 in Abraham, WV and had been a Vermilion resident for the past 40 years moving from Amherst. Most recently she enjoyed living at The Woods on French Creek, Avon. She worked as a cook for Oak Hills Nursing Home for 30 years retiring in 1999. She was a member of Lakeview Baptist Church, Vermilion and the Red Hat Society. She enjoyed yard work, flower gardening, cooking, and especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She is survived by her daughter, Carolyn Sue Carpenter of Vermilion; son, Randy (Debra) Lehman of Amherst; 4 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; and brothers, Wilson Bennett of KY and Okey Bennett of Amherst. She was preceded in death by her husband, Oliver Lehman in 1997 and her parents, Woodrow and Myrtle (nee Kincaid) Bennett. The family will receive friends on Friday, March 18, 2016 from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion. Funeral services will be Saturday, March 19, 2016 at 11:00 am at the funeral home. The Reverend Cliff Morris will officiate. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon.
