Grace Traster

Grace Traster (nee Rodgers), 83, of Vermilion, passed away Wednesday, May 23, 2012 at Lake Pointe Health Center following a three week illness. Grace was born September 25, 1928 in Florence, OH, and had been a lifelong Vermilion area resident. She was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church, and the Senior Citizens Exercise Group at the Y.M.C.A.. She was a homemaker, and did babysitting. She was known as grandma to many area children. Grace enjoyed vacationing and spending time with her family. Grace is survived by her children Kathy (James) Barker of Lorain, Diane (Ken) Davis of Birmingham, Wayne L. (Cindy) Traster of Lorain; grandchildren Jim Jr., Steven,Tammy, Kassie, Donald, Brenda, and Vicki; several great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents Harvey and Florence (Wiegand) Rodgers, husband Wayne D. Traster June 8, 1986, sister, Margaret Brewer, brothers, Lou and Harvey "Buck" Rodgers. Visitation will be Friday May 25th from 5-9 p.m. at Riddle Funeral Home 5345 South St., Vermilion. Funeral services will be Saturday at 10:00 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church 3747 Liberty Ave., Vermilion where the family will receive friends from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. Pastor Mark Bogen will officiate. Interment will follow in Florence Twp. Cemetery. Contributions in Grace's memory may be given to the Trinity Lutheran Church Memorial Fund.
