Hallie Lee Frye

Hallie Lee Frye, 67, of Vermilion, died Friday, December 28, 2007at his home after a one year illness. He was born October 30, 1940 in St. Marys, WV and had lived in Vermilion since 1958 moving from Lorain. He was a veteran of the United States Army. He worked as a welder for Ford Motor, Lorain and Avon Lake retiring in 2006 after 39 years of service. He enjoyed gambling, hunting, fishing, story telling, boating, motor cycles and his grandchildren. Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Sondra (nee Freeman) Frye; son, Lee Frye; daughters, Sondra "Dee Dee" Ernandes, Cindy Cyrek; 5 grandchildren, Niki Cyrek, Anthony, and Elena Ernandes, and Avery Frey. He was preceded in death by his parents, Glen and Rose(nee Hess) Frye; a brother, Anthony Frye and grandson, Joe Cyrek. Friends may call Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion. Funeral services will be Monday, Dec. 31 at 10 a.m. The Reverend Guy Morton will officiate.
