Harold Wilson Carson

Harold "Carrot" Wilson Carson, Jr., 60, formerly of Vermilion, died Sunday, September 6, 2009 in Michigan. He was born November 11, 1948 in Lorain and was a life long Vermilion resident. He worked as a die setter for Lithonia Down Lighting for 38 years. He was a social member of the VFW #7576, American Legion #397 and a life member of AMVETS Post 22, Vermilion. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, golf and his family. Survivors include his mother, Betty Carson, 2 sisters and a nephew, all of Michigan; 8 stepchildren, Deb, Jack, Don, Steve, Tom, Susan, Mary and Katy; 18 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; and his wife, Florence Reed-Carson. Preceding him in death was his father, Harold Wilson Carson, Sr.and stepson Robert Reed. A memorial service will be held Saturday, Sept. 26, 2009 at 3 p.m.at Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion. Private inurnment will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Vermilion.
